I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!!
I can't believe we got the BFP! I truly thought this would never happen to me again. Failure after failure and failure...and here we are. With one, possibly two babies on the way. I'm so excited and overwhelmed right now.
This is all I wanted - to please let me get on with starting my family. I have been through enough already. I'm ready to just skip this pregnancy and have my baby, please, thank you very much. I have struggled with IF for several years, failed with numerous IUI's, lost my full term baby after IVF#3, and 18 months, $100K and lots of grief and tears later, lo & behold IVF#8 works. I even have 3 frosties! YAY!
Now if I can just get through the next 9 months without losing my mind over every OB appointment. I'll never forget when we couldn't find Kara's heartbeat. I fear I'll never be able to walk into another OB appointment without my husband there with me.
We will get through this. I will get to hold a real, live baby at the end of this pregnancy. Please, God.

I got so excited when I read this!!! YAY!!!!!! I am so happy for you. I have been checking in with you over the past few days. I just announced my pregnancy publicly as well. I am due at the end of June, but because of our loss, I will have a c-section around 37-38 weeks. My first nurse apt. 2 weeks ago, I went by myself and had a panic attack and my blood pressure went UP! From that point on, I told my husband that he has to come with me to my appointments. He is planning on being at every one of them. If for some reason he can't come, I have a good friend that I think might be able to come with me.

I just found and read your entire blog TODAY! Congratulations on your BFP!! You deserve it and may the Lord look over you and your little ones and keep you all safe.
I am pg with my first baby (donor egg) at the age of 45! Don't feel like you squandered your youth. It was just the path you were destined to take to be the best Mom ever. I think us over 40 Moms bring experience and knowledge to the table that will benefit our kids. Got to find that silver lining.
